Being appointed an attorney under an enduring power of attorney
is an onerous obligation which is usually undertaken as a voluntary
role without reward.
You should first thoroughly consider whether you
should accept appointment.
To be able to decide whether you should accept appointment, you
need to thoroughly understand the functions and obligations that
you would be taking on in accepting the role as a person's
attorney.
It is definitely the case that you need to look at the
wider context of a well formulated PLAN in which the enduring power
of attorney is a part. The enduring power of attorney is
often not the answer in itself.
