Advantages and disadvantages
Advantages
The advantage of choosing a "Basic Will" option is
that it involves less time and effort to produce. It
therefore costs less. By choosing a "Basic Will" option you
will substantially limit the information requirements and the scope
of work required.
"Basic Wills" can be done for a fixed cost.
Disadvantages
The "Basic" options will only be applicable in
"simple and straightforward" cases. You need to fully
appreciate the implications of the " Basic" Will options to your
circumstances. The implications may only become apparent when
discussing your circumstances with me.
The disadvantage is that you have not had the
benefit of a thorough examination of your circumstances and the
suggestions and advice that I may be able to give when considering
the wider range of matters that can be considered in doing the
"Standard" Will option.
I consider that it is most usually necessary to
consider the wider range of matters that can be considered to
ensure that all issues that may be pertinent to you have been
adequately considered. It does however cost more. It is
a decision for you to make.
