Checklist – Standard Will
The information requirements for a Standard Will include:
- your details;
- your spouse details;
- children details;
- grandchildren details;
- executor details;
- substitute executor details;
- beneficiaries details;
- guardian (if any) of minor children details; and
- executor details.
The "details" referred to means -
- full name
- relationship to you
- address
- occupation
- date of birth
I will also need to know your wishes regarding:
- specific gifts you wish to make including a description of the
gift and details of the beneficiary;
- how you wish the residue of your estate distributed; and
- any alternate distribution of the residue of your estate that
you may desire to make.
Any other matters that you wish to consider or discuss with me
including:
- your wishes (if any) concerning disposal of body; and
- details of your assets and liabilities (including details of
insurance and superannuation).
